So being sick all last week has really put a cramp in my training, I needed to get back on track so I forced myself back on the treadmill.
It started off a little rough I could feel the pains from last nights hockey game starting to make their pitch against the run.
Ignore the pain I say and onward I ran, it was a breeze to get to the first mile, I almost hit the almighty stop button on the treadmill when a good song came on. I decided to power through until the song ended, I cranked up the speed until my stride was in rhythm with the song and smacked out another half mile. Day 22 complete 1.5 miles at a pace of 12:30 my best this year.
On another note, for those that have decided to run, and I hope I have inspired someone on this planet to give it a shot, music is very important, the playlist that you choose to run to can make your mile long or short, hard or easy. Once you create a list and start to run to it, you need to take note of which songs you run better to and which ones you tend to skip past, narrow down your list until you have a solid 45 minutes of music that you can let loose and just run to.
happy running.
